MULTIPLE AVENUES OF APPROACH
Army aviators are required to absorb--and
retain--a massive amount of information,
keeping it all available for instant recall.
Failing to remember may mean as little as a
few missed points on a check ride; for more
important things like Emergency Procedures
(EPs) and Operating Limitations, your
knowledge could be the difference between
life and death. While some people can absorb
all they need to know out of the -10s and
manuals, or even from flash cards, most
people learn best when presented with
information in a variety of formats,
printed, visual, audio, etc. For this
reason, we provide a number of study guides
and tools which allow you to learn in a
variety of ways, that will make your study
time more interesting, more productive, and
help you better retain the information you
need to know.
I
HAVE FLASH CARDS... DO I NEED STUDY GUIDES?
Our flash cards are built to provide
perfection in rote memorization, which is a
mandatory skill for Army aviators. The
cards tell you what you need to know and how
to say it, straight out of the -10 and
Operator's Supplement. What they don't
provide is understanding. For example,
a new flight student can memorize from the
flash cards all the numbers that comprise N1
limitations, but may not even know what the
N1, Gas Producer, is. Our study guides
go into greater detail and draw from a
number of sources, not just the -10, in
order to help you build a base of knowledge
under the numbers you memorized.
Also, the flash cards focus on chapters 5
and 9, Emergency Procedures and Operating
Limitations. For a check ride, much
more information is fair game for
questioning (think about the giant box of
publications Army aviators are issued in
flight school). We do the hard work
for you, extracting the most important
excerpts from the Army manuals, regulations,
and publications and construct guides
specifically built to help you learn exactly
what you need to know for your evaluations.
AIRCRAFT
The study guides we write are primarily for
the the Army's training helicopter, the
TH-67 Creek.
The learning curve at flight school is
incredibly steep, and many new aviators have
trouble adjusting to the massive amount of
information the Army requires its pilots to
memorize. For that reason, we prepare
a number of guides designed to assist new
aviators. However, if you have an idea
for a study guide you think we should write
that would be of assistance to senior
aviators, please let us know.

TOOLS
While most of the study guides
we've written are for the TH-67, we do have
many additional study tools available
for the advanced aircraft, including audio
CDs, reference CDs, training packets and
more.
